    Switserland anyone?

I will be going to Switserland in September, Insh'Allah for 7 or 8 days.

Any tips, suggestions, places to see, things to do?

We'll be staying in Geneva but planning to travel around from there :-)

    Thanks

I've been to Geneva, Luzern and Zürich. There is so much to see and its very breath taking.

I Geneva I visited the city, basically you can walk around and see the things you want to see. I was there with my high school class, we went to Red Cross Center, the UNO, and were invited to the house of the Ambassador of Austria, whose wife was our ex-teacher in the school.

In Zürich, last year, I took the tourist bus and saw the places around. I liked the lake view and the beautiful houses and places, along the river.

In Luzern, there is another lake with a beautiful old wooden bridge, I loved the historical touch.

The train ride from Geneve to Lucern is absolutely breat-taking. Once in Lucern, don't miss out on Mt Palatus (ht = 7,000 ft). You first take a bus to an area where you climb onto the chair-lifts. Then another cable lift upto the summit. There is a very nice restaurant on top which serves hot soups and sandwiches all day long. On the way down, you can either hike down or take the chair-lifts. Coming down on foot is a lot of fun but make sure you are wearing proper gear and have some company and water.

Also, there are some nice and not so expensive hotels by Lake Lucern in downtown area. It's a 5 min walk from the train station. Lemme know if you need the name and address and I will look it up for you.
