dreams cud be true....
and the interpretation of dreams is not known to all....
only those who Allah gives the knowledge by His own mercy....
plz see the dreams of:
- Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh)
- the king of egypt during the time of Prophet Yusuf (pbuh)
Both Halal & Haram r evident but between them r doubtful things, most ppl have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from suspicious things saves his religion & honor, & whoever indulges in suspicious things indulges in Haram.
Bukhari 9-113 The Prophet said, "A true good dream is from Allah, and a bad dream is from Satan." narrated by Abu Qatada
Bukhari 9-116 The Prophet said, "The (good) dreams of a faithful believer is a part of the forty-six parts of prophetism." narrated by Ubada bin Al-Samit
and there r more as well....

Interesting, I've been wondering the same thing. Good question.

Interesting. I've never heard that before. This may sound strange, but I've never had (or recall) a nightmare in my life. Most of my dreams are just strange distortions of things that have happened to me recently. No nightmares. Strange considering I live off horror movies.

Reflective: on events that have happened (these have no meaning)
Good dream which comes true is one of the parts of prophethood.
Nightmare: dont tell anyone about it, when u get up read azaobillahehminushaytaan etc 3 times and blow over yur left shoulder 3 times, and turn over on yur other side.
Dreams mainly have meaning in fruit rippening seasons and are less likely to have meanings in winter and during the rainy season.
i had the same question....jazakallah to everyone for the replies....
this is what i always heard but did not see this on the links mentioned in this post:
if a person has a bad dream where they see something bad happenning to a loved one or to themselves then when they wake up they should ASAP try to give Sadqah.
ofcourse Sadqah is always good, but does anyone know if this belief is just a cultural thing, or if giving Sadqah after a bad dream indeed has a religious significance?
and also a lot of times when a big loss happens to ppl, they saw they saw a dream in which they saw the loss happenning..etc...is that kind of thing related to religion in anyway or are these ppl trying to just convince themselves or imagin the connection? anyone has any input on this?
