okay so from what i heard Islam doesnt denies its existance. it is mentioned in Quran so y take such strict measures against it?..stonning a person to death just because he or she is gay seems a bit inhumane to me.

Doesnt Islam also teaches to be tolerant of otherz belives and lifestyle?

seeker u made a good point, islam gives gender benders a chance to repent, its an example of tolerance.

if u know it is mentioned in quran then i hope u also know that it is mentioned in quran with reference to the nation of Hadrat Loot (AS), the newphew of Hadrat Ibrahim (AS). And I am sure u also know how they were punished as it is also in Quran.. so i also hope that u know in what context it is mentioned in Quran.

I am assuming the punishement is only applied to someone who claims to be a muslim? Or are muslims empowered to stone/kill anyone who indulges in homosexuality and is living under muslim rule?

The hukm can only be executed by Islamic state authority on non muslim and muslim who commit homosexuality.

Allah mian made Adam and Eve for each other...not another Adam for Adam or another Eve for Eve!!! In any event, Islam does give the person a fair shot at repentence if he/she is opting for an "alternate lifestyle. Homosexuality is haram in Islam, as it is in any of the 3 dominant monotheistic religions. Plus, in my opinion, it is "learned" behavior, not "natural" as some would argue.

allah ta'allah have said in the quran-e-paak that i have made a male for a female and a female for a male and the same goes with the animals etc. so that is the main reason for why homosexuality is prohibbited in islam.
