Reason for the downfall of the Muslims

What is the reason for the downfall of the Muslims.

The humiliated state we see in Muslim countries today. from kashmir to palestine, to bosnia.

what is the reason for this?

well, first of all, I would say: check my signature, which I believe explains the most of it.
With great power comes great responsibility and the human (includes all races and species and faiths) just cant cope with it.

p.s. in my highschool books ( 8 yrs back) there was something written in my Geography books about Islam, and that the western world should stop it before it qonquers all.

That's a rhetorical question, right?

Everybody here knows that it's all the US' fault, in conjunction with a whole list of "isms". The only ism not at fault is Fundamentalism, which had absolutely nada to do with it. In fact, it's the only answer.

This is the biggest problem facing the muslim world. "Who did this to us?" and "why did it happen, if it was supposed to be a perfect society"?

Answer, no one did it to the muslims, it is part of evolution of powers and societies at large. What was perfect in 7th century arabia doesn't necessarily translate well into Modern day Indonesia and malaysia.

well, let us see what gave rise to what we know as Fundementalism, or radicalism amongst Muslims.

The Colonial incursion rose many questions in the mind of the Muslims about the cause for their defeat. many muslims stated the reason was that the muslims at that time had abandoned science and technology, that they were once masters in.

as a result, many muslims started to focus on technological advancements.

many muslims started adopting communism as their model.

every civilization has a rise and fall, people who were on forefront of all kinds of work, end up getting fat dumb and happy and thats where the decline begins, internal politics and groups further work like termites to hollow out the foundation, add to it competition with other entities, rivalries, war and what nots and you have conditions ripe for any civilization's decline.

This question is asked in every society, US, UK and more often in former USSR. Nothing is perfect and we all try to achive the same goal through different routes.

The same can be applied to the modern world as well, what is perfect in US or was perfect in US can not be perfect in Pakistan and/or Saudi Arabia. As a society with their own norms and values they have the right to evolve as well. The Problem occurs when Others think that they can modify this evolution of society to their own benefit.

Well about the down and rise of civilizations, Allah says in surah ali-Imran, verse 26:

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "O Allâh! Possessor of the kingdom, You give the kingdom to whom You will, and You take the kingdom from whom You will, and You endue with honour whom You will, and You humiliate whom You will. In Your Hand[] is the good. Verily, You are Able to do all things.

That is the whole thing. It is not something so special that some nation is a superpower, but the problem is that human beings are very delusional creatures. Like Fir'un was deluded, that he had all the power. nowadays, nations that call themselves a superpower, are also in the same delusional state. Once in a while, Allah reminds them that they don't have the power, but they continue to be in blind state until Allah takes from them, and then they remember, however that is too late!
