it's a matter of heart...iimaan is something that comes and settles in your heart gradually. keep working on it by:

-reading Qur'aan with meaning and tafseer
    -read iimaan enhancing books
    -read/watch science in Qur'aan
    -pray regularly
-ask for Allah's forgiveness and His help in guiding you to the right path
    -have God-fearing friends,
-and move around in the company of knowledgeable family/extended family members whenever you can.

i think those tasks will improve the quality and level of iimaan...remember one thing:

    iimaan comes gradually with taqwa!

        Re: Weakness of Imaan...

taqwa means the 'fear of Allah, righteousness, piety'...one has to inculcate all these attributes [Khawaas] in one's heart through deeds. it's a lengthy topic which can NOT be dealty with on these forums. i would suggest you read authentic books on taqwa by authors of repute and be ready to incorporate in your life what you read and finally always ask for Allah's forgiveness and His guidance.

May Allah bless you and guide you through your quest. aameen

I think this is a good topic to have a discussion about on the audio/chat section ... let's set a time to do this inshaAllah ...
            The Prophet(SAW) said:
"I am leaving you two things and you will never go astray as long as you cling to them -- they are the Book of Allah and my Sunnah." [Reported by Al- Haakim - Sahih].

I agree with KKF, Faith is a matter of the heart.

Heart is the center of conscience. When the heart is weak, the mind takes over. The mind is easily controlled by Satan and evil thoughts. Satan can present the most logical sounding and pleasing picture of the most sinful acts. And brain cannot discern whether it is right or wrong.

In the realm of faith, Heart is the king and mind is the servant. When heart is strong then it guides the mind. Mind has to completely surrender to Heart.

Mind is extremely powerful, and thought has enormous power to create, the soul can use the mind to do its good work. Mind is usually the last thing to completely surrender to the soul, to God, to his will. But when it surrenders, then your faith can create miracles.

So Follow your heart, do things to make your heart strong, give preference to your heart in decision making. Often imagine that the name of Allah is written on your heart. Sit in the company of Godly people, oftentimes, one spark of love is enough to empower the heart. During namaz, do prolonged sujood, then stand back up. It will give strength to your heart, physical as well as spiritual.

Very rarely does the heart become corrupted completely. Everyone has some memories, some events, something in their life that keeps the fire of Love alive in the heart. Keep that fire alive. The way to God is through your heart.

                Peace kinzz,

Allah SWT said in Qur'an, Chapter 13 verse 28: "Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah . Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured."

The Sign of Miracle is not something external: it is something internal, something in your mind, heart and soul. It depends on your inner spiritual experience. If you turn to Allah SWT, that light, that experience, will come. If you do not, Allah SWT not force you.

Means for their hearts find comfort on the side of Allah SWT, become tranguil when He is remembered and pleased to have Him as their Protector and Supporter.

Moreover, you can read this dua as narrated in Hadith Sahih Bukhari Book 'Invocations', Hadith No. 379,
Narrated 'Aisha: The Prophet used to say, "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from laziness and geriatric old age, from all kinds of sins and from being in debt; from the affliction of the Fire and from the punishment of the Fire and from the evil of the affliction of wealth; and I seek refuge with You from the affliction of poverty, and I seek refuge with You from the affliction of Al-Mesiah Ad-Dajjal. O Allah! Wash away my sins with the water of snow and hail, and cleanse my heart from all the sins as a white garment is cleansed from the filth, and let there be a long distance between me and my sins, as You made East and West far from each other."

Question is from where these evil thoughts come in our mind? If we know the source then it’s easy for us to refrain from it and do those works which help us to make our 'Imaan' stronger then ever.

Then we can discuss with each other our personal experiences successes and problems to help.

i heard someone saying, and i want to share in this thread "aaj kay dor main iman kay hussool ka sabsay bara zariya saheb-e-imaan ki rifaqat hay"

and if someone doesn't get company of people of iman, they must read and listen to them, get their books, and what other book can be better than Qur'an
