Allah is responsible for all the good and bad that happens in the world....
all natural calamities r by His order alone....
earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, volcanoes, avalanches all occur at His Will....

usually Allah uses these to punish those who stray from their path or just as signals to remind the men that no matter how powerful u get with ur science and technology u cannot compete My Powers....

Quran has many verses which show that Allah has used natural disasters to destroy nations that exceeded their limits (of disobedience)....

Both Halal & Haram r evident but between them r doubtful things, most ppl have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from suspicious things saves his religion & honor, & whoever indulges in suspicious things indulges in Haram.
