"Blasphemy Law", a Stigma on our Law???

Section 295-C of the Blasphemy Law provides that whoever by words or visual representation or by any imputation, innuendo or insinuation, directly or indirectly defiles the sacred name of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) shall be punished with death or imprisonment for life, and shall also be liable to fine.

In my Humble opinion even the Holy Prophet (pbuh)himself would never be happy that human beings R killed in his holy name.

From my school teachings I still remember that an old lady who used to throw garbage on Him, once got sick and could not throw garbage, our Beloved prophet(pbuh) went to inquire about her and later on helped her during her recovery, that was the respose he showed to his enemies>

How can we kill ppl in his name, i do'nt understand.

I think this has been created by influential mullah's of Pakistan for thier personal gains and objectives. Its time to voice against such manuvered and distorted laws in Pakistan.

we have many examples of the companions of the Prophet (pbuh), the Sahaaba, who have killed people because they insulted the Holy Prophet(pbuh)....

a man who has been praised by Allah Himself deserves such respect that those who try to ridicule his name shud be killed....

    nothing wrong with this law....

    ------------------
"Our Lord! forgive us our sins and anything we may have done that transgressed our duty; establish our feet firmly and help us against those that resist faith." Quran(3:147)
Both Halal & Haram r evident but between them r doubtful things, most ppl have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from suspicious things saves his religion & honor, & whoever indulges in suspicious things indulges in Haram.

the way its used is wrong..

people can say that they heard someone say somethign bad about the prophet (pbuh) and all hell will break lose. without ""proof"", this law can and is being mis-used...

So what U R saying means that ppl all over the world especially Atheist(who do'nt believe in God or follow God's command) should be killed as they R disrepecting God, the creator of Prophet(pbuh),!!! Does'nt make sense.

athiest are not saying anything dis-respectful towards Allah or the prophet (pbuh).

they just don't believe in the existance of God. the blasphemy laws don't apply here.

taking an example of sahaba for making a "rule" is questionable. taking someone's life is a BIG rule. is it commanded in Quran that we should kill someone who says ill of Prophet PBUH?

those who were killed didn't say ill, but there were ENEMIES of Prophet PBUH. Even though the Prophet allowed to kill those people, does it mean that it is permissible to kill everyone?

                  I have a question....
does blaspheny law apply only to the desecration of Allah? or does it apply also to The Prophet (SAW)? does it also apply to the desecration of the rest of prophets including esa, moosa, ibrahim etc..?

Would you please give a example where companion of Holy Prophet (PBUH) killed a muslim OR non-muslim FOR crime of defileing the name of Holy Prophet(SAW).

If we accept that His companion did, then non-muslim can ask How we can call Hime "Mohsin-E-Insssnyat" when his companion kill people for blasphemy and yet (nauzbillah) He watch silently and do not condemn such actions? THINK!!!
