LION MOURNS THE LOSS OF A BABY ANTELOPE
    >Ananova Tuesday, January 8, 2002>
    >http://www.ananova.com/yournews/story/sm_489535.html

A lioness in Kenya is mourning the death of a baby antelope she had protected for two weeks.

    >The oryx was killed by a male lion as she slept.

    >Wildlife guides had said they were baffled by the lioness's behavior.

    >"This is either an extraordinary case of maternal instinct or simply the
    >eighth wonder of the world,"
said Herman Mwasaghua, a safari guide at a park
    >lodge. "It's incredible."
    >
    > The oryx's mother abandoned it shortly after its birth and the lioness began
    >shielding it from other predators, even going so far as to stand down a
    >leopard,
guides told the Daily Nation newspaper.
    >
    >Amazed safari guides said over the past two weeks they observed the lioness
    >allowing the oryx's mother to join the calf for nursing, then resuming her
    >guardianship.
    >
    > Sometimes the two animals were seen lying together on the savannah.
    >
    >Then on Sunday, a male lion attacked and killed the oryx while the lioness
    >slept.
    >
    >According to guides, the lioness roared in mourning for hours after
    >discovering the calf had been killed.

    >
    >The oryx is a herbivore with black and white markings on its face with long,
    >straight horns at adulthood, but at birth has no horns and is a tawny brown
    >colour.

    Ibrahim says: Innal-Hamdalillah was-Salaatu was-Salaamu 'Alaa Rasoolillah

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmathullahi wa Barakaathuhu to Muslims and Greetings of peace to one and all to non-Muslims.

    Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Reading the above news, one has to conclude , even amongst animals who have been naturally inclined to kill the weaker there can be compassion, sincerity and love for others.

Yet, in this generation, mankind seem to be losing such conduct for which he has been given authority over the rest of the animals

Endless amounts of questions and rebellious and sacrilegious remarks have been noted on this forum , made by people who claim they are Muslims ( be it true or false) with varying views as to what Islam is or is not according to their minds.

    Muslims must bear in mind

    Allah (swt) conveyed:-

48: 29 Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah; and those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers (but) compassionate amongst each other. Thou wilt see them bow and prostrate themselves (in prayer) seeking Grace from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. On their faces are their marks (being) the traces of their prostration. This is their similitude in the Torah; and their similitude in the Gospel is: like a seed which sends forth its blade then makes it strong; it then becomes thick and it stands on its own stem (filling) the sowers with wonder and delight. As a result it fills the Unbelievers with rage at him. Allah has promised those among them who believe and do righteous deeds Forgiveness and a great Reward.

Ibrahim says: Needless to say, all those who have understood Islam and practice it to their best of their abilities will have little problem understanding what has been conveyed . But for those who cannot understand what it means is that the devotees of Allah wage unceasing war against evil, for themselves, and for others; but to their own brethren in faith-especially the weaker ones- they are mild and compassionate: they seek out every opportunity to sympathize with them and help them.

Their humility is before Allah and His Apostle and all who have authority from Allah, but they yield no power or pomp, nor do they worship worldly show or glitter. Nor is their humility before Allah a mere show for men.

Unfortunately this is in the decline amongst Muslims in our current generation, here people are vying to challenge, dispute, defame each other, simply because it has to do with their pride , plighted word or mere show of debate and eloquence in speech.

    Allah (swt) conveyed:

3: 77 As for those who sell the faith they owe to Allah and their own plighted word for a small price they shall have no portion in the hereafter: nor will Allah (deign to) speak to them or look at them on the Day of Judgment nor will He cleanse them (of sin); they shall have a grievous penalty.

Ibrahim says: How does one sell their faith and what does one mean by their own plighted word?

All our duties to our fellow creatures are referred to the service and faith we owe to Allah. But in the matter of truth, an appeal is made to our self-respect as responsible beings: is it becoming that we should be false to our own word, to ourselves? And then we are reminded that the utmost we can gain by falsifying Allah's word or being untrue to ourselves is but a miserable price. We get at best something very paltry as the price for selling our very souls.

Even on sinners-ordinary sinners-Allah will look with compassion and mercy: He will speak words of kindness and cleanse them of their sins. But those who are in active rebellion against Allah and sin against their own light,-what mercy can they expect?

Thus the very thought of rebellion or rejection of what is being written in the Qur’an can only lead mankind to ruin immaterial of their faith in Islam.

    Allah (swt) further conveyed;

50: 16 It was We who created man and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein.

17 Behold two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and note them) one sitting on the right and one on the left.

18 Not a word does he utter but there is a sentinel by him ready (to note it).

Ibrahim says: Al-hamdulillah, we have our own “sentinel” and “modamarator” on this board to delete and remove what is not within the bounds of Islamic wisdom.

Yet O mankind ! , O brethren ! beware, not a word that you harbored in your heart nor a word that we may have said at some time or another, will get misplaced or deleted or forgotten in the sight of Allah (swt)

So practice sincerity , it is the key to understanding what is being revealed by our Creator and what is being conveyed in hadiths and by scholars which is not always clear to the readers.

    Allah (swt) conveyed:

35: 28 And so amongst men and crawling creatures and cattle are they of various colors. Those truly fear Allah among His Servants who have knowledge: for Allah is Exalted in Might Oft-Forgiving.

So it goes without saying, those who fear Allah (swt) and practice sincerity of words and deeds are those will be given knowledge to understand matters that are not commonly understood, the rest due to their insincerity may end up having doubts upon doubts with no end in sight. As Allah (swt) had so willed for them.

As for Christians and Hindus who may be wondering what is all this , what is being conveyed is better understood by reading

Christ was taught to convey :-

    Let us read Matthew 12:

    36. But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.

    37. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."

    and Prophet Solomon (pbuh) taught:-

Proverbs 15: 33. The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor.

    Ibrahim Bhai, once question...

We quote from the Bible, when we need to, but say the bible is not totally in its originality. So when we quote, how do we know we are not quoting the added verses?

      Brother asadsalm,

      Assalamo Alaikum!

Anything in the corrupted scriptures taht does not conflict with the Qur'an and Sunnah is, by definition, from Allah and has not been corrupted.

Jazak Allahu Khair FactFinder for making it short, sweet and simple as always .

Just to add for the benefit of our Christian brothers and sisters to understand this also…….

Even the knowledgeable Christian scholars understand this and have put it into writing in recent publications.

For Instance, when we read the Preface of the First Scofield Reference Bible ISBN 0-916441-72-5

Dr. Scofield wrote in his Introduction ( must be read) page 1.:-

" The saying that anything may be proved by the Bible is both true and false - true if isolated passage's are used; utterly false if the whole divine revelation is in view”

Ibrahim says: What did Dr. Scofiled mean by this?

It simply means that, If we take the entire Bible as whole, it is a FALSE scripture but if we separated the verses and took only the passages/verses that are proven true in nature than those passages/verses are the ones that has kept his Christian faith going.

What Christian scholars have done is to restrict their comparison with the Torah and the Gospel ( due to their beliefs) but what I and all others who may be doing research on scriptures have done is broaden this comparison to all scriptures.

Thus we separate the ingredient/essence/theme of the message ( so to speak) and than look at the consistency or inconsistency of that verse or message in all other scriptures that man may claim has been sent to them by God . In this manner we are able to determine that a particular verse/passage found in one as compared to the other scriptures had been consistent or inconsistent all the time immaterial of timeframe.

[b] Most of all, we can establish that the Qur’an is indeed the ORIGINAL message given by Allah (swt) without any doubt by this comparison.

Such research further confirms the message given in the Qur’an and the reason as to why Allah (swt) allowed the other scriptures to remain on this planet, even though they have become corrupted by man.

Let us note what the Qur’an says.
        {It has been conveyed by Allah (swt) the ONLY creator of all that we see and see not…..}

5: 47 Let the people of the Gospel Judge by what Allah hath revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed they are (no better than) those who rebel.

48 To thee We sent the Scripture in truth confirming the scripture that came before it and guarding it in safety; so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed and follow not their vain desires diverging from the truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have We prescribed a Law and an Open Way. If Allah had so willed He would have made you a single people but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute

Thus I freely quote verses even from the Vedas, smrti etc ( hindu scriptures which due to its length of time would be the most corrupted of all) , that are consistent in essence with verses found in the Torah, Psalms , Gospel and the Qur’an due to being familiar with them, by the Grace of Allah (swt)

Jazak Allah Khair for the answers!

That really solves some confusions. Another confusion that poped up when I was reading your answer was:

What are the books which are called Matthew, Luke, Genesis, Timothy, Matt, etc. Which boos(s) was revealed to Isa (AS), and which books were written after him?

            Ibrahim says: salaams to all

The current Bible consist of an OT (old testament) and NT (new testament)

The OT is supposedly the book the Israelites had and should originate from Prophet Moses (pbuh) and the subsequent Prophets coming after him establishing the Torah (law) and the NT was the revelations received through Christ (pbuh) which today also consist of Epistles (letters) written by Paul , which sadly forms the crux of Christian dogma today. The NT was not written by Christ (pbuh) just like the OT was not written by Prophet Moses (pbuh)

What the Bible currently consist of would vary according to denomination for instance

The Jewish bible will have 40 Books as OT
The Roman Catholic Bible will have 47 Books as OT and 27 Books as NT
The protestants will have 39 Books as OT and 27 Books as NT
The Orthodox have a total of 80 books and some Christians have 94 Books in all as the Bible

All these means, what may be accepted by one could be rejected by another . For your info there were 60 versions (according to Bible scholars) of the Bible in 1980’s now it would have reached 100 easily.

Even the verses within the books can have additions and omissions as such there can be No guarantees as to which is correct since the originals had vanished and what has been compiled came from memory of various unknown but pious authors and lately being revised as new information is found due to archeological advancements.

The Jews believe only the First 5 books ( Genesis , Exodus, Leviticus , Numbers and Deuteronomy) were the ones given by Prophet Moses (pbuh) and the others are through other prophets as well as records of kings.

Similarly the Christians believe the 4 Gospels ( Matthew , Mark, Luke and John) are the Gospel of Christ, and the rest are letters of Paul and acts of apostles.

Here one must note Christ only preached one Gospel , but since that was lost, the current Gospels found in the Bible are written “according to “ Mathew, Mark, Luke or John and not according to Christ (pbuh)

Yet it must be noted that other Gospels from others like Apostle Barnabas and Thomas are also available but considered as heretical works and not included in the current Bible but used by other Christians as the source for their faith.

From what is currently understood, the Books that Christ most likely used when preaching were found in the Qum’ran caves in 1947 ( this finding ties in well with the shia notion that their books were hidden in the caves ) and both the Jews and the Christians have been actively trying to hide what they contain since they contradict the current bible.

These books as known as the dead sea scrolls, they are the only oldest manuscripts available for us to verify the accuracy of the current Bible but could cause the collapse of the Jews and Christians if fully exposed.

Hope that helps bring about clarity.

            Was salaam
            Ibrahim
