Taliban

Note from Admin: Instead of posting a link, please explain your point of view and then support it with the link.

And don't underestimate Talibans, they are not just few uneducated Muslim leaders
but actully they are very well educated
    doctors, engineers,lawyers, IT experts etc.
A big number of Taliban officials
has got education from european universities. They are better government than any other government in the world
    their political system is best
    their education system is pefect
their respect for women is totally contrast to what has been presented by media
Taliban ministers and governors work without wage, just for the sake of Allah
they sleep without the fear of crime, which was a common practice before Taliban
there is no fight between most tribes now
Taliban don't take any help from any other non-muslim country to fight against their enemies
their hearts are full of love for Prophet(peace be upon him) and his Sehabas
they have blind faith in Allah
    and plenty more
there is big difference between hearing by media and observing with your own eyes
this message was posted long time ago i think in march or sth like that .anyway im just posting it wat we think of hem now.(by the way this wasnt my topic so wasir im sorry) but really liked it.

    Jazak Allah khair!

Many on this site are writing against the taliban either from personal reasons or because they are misled by the media.

I do not know anything about the Taliban, except what I read from them and what I can understand is that they are following the Shariah. As a Muslim, it becomes my obligation to support the one on the correct path, come what may. Alhumdo Lillah, I am not a hypocrite. Some brothers on this forum have called me jahil for supporting the Taliban form of government, but with sincerity, I shall continue. Allah is our best Judge.

Can anyone please clarify if or not, under the Taleban regime.

Non Sunnis, especially Hazaris were slaughtered in the name of religion
Women were FORCED to cover themselves up in public from HEAD TO TOE and were admonished publicly by 'righteous patrols' hitting them with car antennas for showing a bit of skin.
Schools were segregated; women education neglected first and then totally closed down.
Women were not allowed to work, except in maternity wards.
Women weren't allowed to go out in public without male supervision. Widows had no way out of this, so they had to resort to begging or adultery to feed themselves.
Those accused of adultery were dealt with obscure punishments derived from God-knows-where without establishing a strict witness system first.
Televisions were banned
All music was banned
Photography was banned
Kite flying was banned
Laughing in public was punishable
Men weren't allowed to play in shorts
Having a beard was mandatory. A shorter than designated size was punishable by confinement till it grew to an arbitrary length.
Historical architecture was destroyed despite the fact that no one was actively using them as a temple or a place of worship
Minorities were forced to follow these rules
I'll stop here.. and please feel free to debunk these 'myths' or if anyone agrees to a point that it DID happen, please feel free to 'prove it's legitimacy' using your choice of source so we know where your version of Islamic Governance comes from.

One hypocrite has identified himself. Only Allah can guide people who remain misguided.

Excellent. Just the insecure response I expected.

Respond to the argument made in the points in my post Sir, or keep that trap shut.

I wouldn't go calling people hypocrites till I was sure of what will be done to me on the Day of Judgement. I leave my case with Allah and pray to HIM ALONE to forgive you.

what proof do you have of it??? cnn and bbc dont count.

Women were FORCED to cover themselves up in public from HEAD TO TOE and were admonished publicly by 'righteous patrols' hitting them with car antennas for showing a bit of skin.
its afghan culture..even NA does not have their women without burqas...and forcing some one to follow islamic rules is better than allowing them to deviate from islamic teachings...
Schools were segregated; women education neglected first and then totally closed down.
BULL****....they had opened a school for girls for nursing...if you dont wanna do some research and just rely on cnn bbc for ur reports, its no point talking to u...and they had no resources to open schools for boys let alone girls...all they said was, once we get done with NA, we will look into the education of women..
Women were not allowed to work, except in maternity wards.
now if you goto rawa's website and read the article about how afghan warlords brutally raped women during their time you will understand the idealogy...any women who worked was in danger of being raped by her boss and since you need 4 witnesses for these crimes and if u fail to produce them, you are punished women didnt report those rapes...so taliban just banned them from work untill they could establish system for medical check up for the claims of rape and adultry so lack of witnesses would not be a problem in reporting rape cases.
Women weren't allowed to go out in public without male supervision. Widows had no way out of this, so they had to resort to begging or adultery to feed themselves.
its confusing...if you are not allowed to go out in public alone, how the hell can you go out to begg??? and even in the documentary made by saira shah beneath the veil, women can be seen shoping in the market place although with a burqa but with safety and knowledge that no one could dare rape them or rob them...the right to live and the right to have a secure life is more important than the right to freedome of choice..
Those accused of adultery were dealt with obscure punishments derived from God-knows-where without establishing a strict witness system first.
islam provides simple guidelines for crimes agianst society, and no one can guarantee that all the justice will be just, even in america, we hear lots of time of false identification in crimes and stuff..but they tried their best....imagine whay stopped them from executing those 8 foreigners??? if u think foreign presure..first get off the pot u r smoking...international pressure to protect those aid workers was nothing compared to the pressure to give up OBL, if they didnt comply to that why would they comlpy to the one for aid workers...only their sense of justice saved them from shooting them because of anger after the strikes...
Televisions were banned
tv is not essential of live...if they think its not good for their society, they can forbid it...and we know what tv does to our youths...indian and american porn films have ruined pakistani culture..so dont preach about tv and how its necessary
All music was banned
not all, they allowed religious and national songs...and agian..they have the right to ban music because they didnt wanted their society to be corupted by them
Photography was banned
to them it was forbidden...might be or might not be right..but they had a religious reason for it they didnt bann it for their pleasure or worldly gain
Kite flying was banned
not sure why it was..but nothing is perfect...
Laughing in public was punishable
i really doubt it..and it is most likely propaganda...comon, in the huge list..atleast some are pure BS by bbc and cnn
Men weren't allowed to play in shorts
they could wear shorts but to the limit..islam has a dress code for men too..from naf (navel) to knee. nothing wrong with it
Having a beard was mandatory. A shorter than designated size was punishable by confinement till it grew to an arbitrary length.
muslim scholars agree that beard is a mandatory obligation on muslims..they just wanted to enforce it..
Historical architecture was destroyed despite the fact that no one was actively using them as a temple or a place of worship
actually items of worship for other religons are under protection, as long as they are in private...so if some statue is in public and is not even worshipped, it has to be destroyed because if no group represents it or is connected to it, then it is the property of the islamic government, and islamic government can not own a stute of any kind...worshippable or not...
Minorities were forced to follow these rules

islamic laws are for the whole nation..there is no group that is free from it..and not true..aid workers were not forced to wear burqas..but only required to cover their head...havent u seen them on tv when they were in side taliban custody...they were not wearing burqas....
PakiAbroad and Sherazz, you two are ignorant victims of American Media.

All these things have been counter-attacked by Taliban Ambassador, here you can read his interview: http://www.inin.net/talibanlecture.htm

That is all I am going to cook in this thread.

                    No Spanky,

I've already seen that and I know the limits in their budget etc.

but I really enjoyed Thanday's justifications giving his 'religious Ok' to what these buffoons were doing in the name of Islam

The more I read responses like Thanday's and supporters like him, the more I have an urge to declare my personal Jehad against these Jahil Mullahs.
