    Islamic Terrorism - Exploded !!

The phenomenal global growth of Islaam is a cause of great concern for many on the west. Strict adherence to Islaam is readily equated with violence and oppression. Muslims who express the pious desire to live under Islamic law are labelled ‘Islamist’ or ’fundamentalist’ and are often suspected of supporting terrorism. And the very mention of Jihaad strikes fear and disgust in the hearts and minds of many non-Muslims. But is this Islamaphobia really justified?

The translation of ’Jihaad’ into ‘Holy War’ is an example of a foreign, non-Islaamic concept superimposed into Islamic belief and practice. ’Jihaad’ actually means to ‘strive/make effort in the way of Allaah’. Hence jihad can be manisfested in a purely peaceful way. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: ‘The best jihad is (by) one who strives against (the evil of) his own self for Allaah the Mighty and majestic.’ [at-Tabarani].

And Allaah says in the Qur’aan:

”So obey not the disbelievers, but make a great jihad (effort) against them (by preaching) with it (the Qur’aan).” [Qur’aan 25:52]

Likewise, combative jihad or fighting is also sometimes necessary. The Prophet (peace be upon him) and his followers, past and present, like many Israelite prophets before them, fought wars in self-defence or in order to abolish idolatry, tyranny and oppression. “And if Allaah did not check one set of people by means of another, the earth would indeed be full of mischief. But Allaah is full of Bounty to the worlds.” [Qur’aan 2:251]

“And what is wrong with you that you fight not in the cause of Allaah and for those weak, ill-treated and oppressed among men, women and children whose only cry is: ‘Our Lord! Rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors and raise for us from You one who will protect and raise for us from You one who will help!’” [Qur’aan 4:75]

Regardless of how unjust the enemy may be, Islaam forbids their mutilation, torture and the slaughter of their retreating forces. The Prophet (peace be upon him) also forbade killing be deceit, whether through the treacherous violation of treaties or by assassination during a cease-fire. This is because war is like a surgical operation; it should not exceed the area of infection.

“And fight on the Way of Allaah those who fight you, but do not transgress the limits. Truly, Allaah loves not the transgressors.” [Qur’aan 2:190]
[Contrast this to the Bible: ‘Go through the city and kill: let not your eye spare, neither have you pity. Slay utterly old and young, both maids and little children and women.’ [Ezekiel 9:5-6]

As for non-combatants or civilians, it is wholly forbidden in Islaam to attack them. We read in the Qur’aan:

“Allaah does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion, nor drove you out of your homes. Verily, Allaah loves those who deal with equity.” [Qur’aan 60:8]

The Prophet (peace be upon him) expressly forbade Muslim armies from attacking women and children, the sick and elderly, monks, worshippers and hired labourers. He also outlawed the wanton killing of animals, the burning of crops and vegetation, the polluting of waters and the destruction of homes, monasteries, churches and synagogues. Once, the Prophet (peace be upon him) passed by a fallen female warrior and even though she had been actively fighting against he believers, the Prophet insisted: ‘This one was not supposed to be fought.’ [Al-Bukhaaree]

And with regards to killing in general, then there are many Qur’aanic verses and hadeeth forbidding this. Allaah says:

“…We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or to spread mischief in the land, it would be as if he killed the whole of mankind. And (likewise) if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the whole of mankind.” [Qur’aan 5:32]

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: ‘The first cases to be adjudicated on the Day of Judgement will be those of bloodshed.’ [Al-Bukhaaree].

In light of the above, there can be no doubt that the act of inciting terror into the hearts of defenceless civilians, the wholesale destruction of buildings and properties and the killing and maiming of innocent men, women and children are all forbidden and detestable criminal acts according to the divine sources of Islaam. The bombing of a crowded Jerusalem market or Paris Metro are as much condemned by Islaam and its God-fearing, orthodox adherents as the IRA’s bombing of Manchester city centre was condemned by the Church of England. Thus it would be wrong to judge Islaam by the actions of a few misguided Muslims. As Prince Charles observed in his 1993 speech at Oxford’s Sheldonian Theatre, Islam & the West:

‘…our common attitude to Islam suffers because the way we understand it as been hijacked by the extreme and the superficial.
‘… Extremism is no more the monopoly of Islam that it is the monopoly of other religions, including Christianity.’

And despite its negative press, Islaam continues to grow in the West faster than any other way of life, conquering the hearts of thousands.

“There is no compulsion in religion. The Right Path has indeed become distinct from the wrong. So whoever rejects false worship and believes in Allaah, then has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allaah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.” [Qur’aan 2:256]

          thanx for sharing bro....
shud be shown to some stupid non-muslims who think that islam spreads violence....
and i have read articles of these ppl who try to prove this from Quran and they use all verse either with altered translations or out-of-context....
Both Halal & Haram r evident but between them r doubtful things, most ppl have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from suspicious things saves his religion & honor, & whoever indulges in suspicious things indulges in Haram.
