Five Things!!

The Prophet of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said to his Companions, “Who will take these words and apply them, or knows someone who will?” Abu Huraira answered, “I will, O Messenger of Allah,” whereupon the Prophet (PBUH) took his hand and enumerated five things, saying:


-Avoid the unlawful and you will be the most religious of people.


-Be satisfied with what Allah has alotted you and you will be the richest of people.


-Treat your neighbour well and you will be a believer.


-Love for others what you love for yourself and you will be a Muslim.


-Avoid excessive laughter, for too much laughter kills the heart.

It sounded good until the laughter part. Can you ever have enough laughter?

Allah SWT says in the Holy Quran:
Ye Have indeed
In the Messenger of Allah
An excellent exempler
For him who hopes
In Allah and the Final Day,

Volume 8, Book 76, Number 490:
Narrated Abu Huraira:

I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "My example and the example of the people is that of a man who made a fire, and when it lighted what was around it, Moths and other insects started falling into the fire. The man tried (his best) to prevent them, (from falling in the fire) but they overpowered him and rushed into the fire. The Prophet added: Now, similarly, I take hold of the knots at your waist (belts) to prevent you from falling into the Fire, but you insist on falling into it."


Volume 6, Book 60, Number 353:
Narrated 'Aisha:

(the wife of the Prophet), I never saw Allah's Apostle laughing loudly enough to enable me to see his uvula, but he used to smile only.


When he (pbuh) laughed, he didn't do it out loud, but instead even he was laughing ..it seemed as if he was smilng . SubhanAllah!
..and people could tell if he was lauging or not, b/c when he laughed you could see his back teeth.

Volume 8, Book 76, Number 492:
Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said, "If you knew that which I know you would laugh little and weep much."


i don't think i have to add any comments..b/c i think these authentic hadeeth and the ayat say it all.
