    In Ramadan ...

    Hadith 1
Abu Hurayra (Radhiallaahu Anhu) narrates, 'When the month of Ramadhaan enters,
the doors of the sky are open (mercy of Allah) and the doors of hell are locked
and the Shayaateen are chained.' (Mishkaat pg.173; Qadeemi)

    Hadith 2
Hadhrat Sahl ibn Sa'd (Radhiallaahu Anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu
Alayhi Wasallam) said, 'In Jannah, there are eight doors. From among them, one
is Rayyaan (the door of thirst). (That door is reserved) only for the fasting
    people. (Ibid)

    Commentary
Make a firm intention to make this Ramadhaan as meaningful as possible by making
Tawbah and changing one's life from disobedience to obedience, by performing
Salaat five times a day, by abstaining from every evil, backbiting, lies, etc.

An ideal opportunity to clean one's heart. May Allah Ta'ala accept our
    Ramadhaan, Aameen.
