    Separation Of Mosque And State

I am very curios about your opinion. Can there ever be separation of mosque and state in Pakistan, and the formation of true secular state institutions?

Why on earth would we in Pakistan want a secular state? Pakistan was created to be a state for Muslims, the followers of Islam, and Islam completely rejects the concept of secularism.
Muslims are so good at dividing that they can divide the atom. If you see two Muslims, probably they belong to 3 parties.

so thats why you live in a secular country? Either you are a hypocrite or you don't follow Islam.

its not because our countries are "Islamic". its because our countries are probably more UnIslamic in some sense. and not everybody moves out of his original country for religion.

For your information, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is officially a Christian country and the official state religion is the Church of England. More to the point, the Head of State, Queen Elizabeth the Second, is also the leader of the Church of England.

So no, I do not consider myself to live in a secular country. If you look at British Law, technically the country's religious leader is also the country's political leader. No separation of Church and State.

                  ---------------------------

Besides which, historically one of the main ways by which Islam has been spread is by the presence of a Muslim community in a non-muslim land (i.e. in Indonesia, the country with the largest Muslim population in the world). I earnestly hope that through the presence of the millions of muslims such as myself in the United Kingdom, the country will one day become and Islamic nation.

About 2 years ago I read in an English newspaper that at current rates, by 2010 there will be more practising Muslims in Britain than practising adherents of the Church of England; the only faith practised more extensively than Islam will be Roman Catholicism.

The whole mentality runs around the wish to convert the whole world to muslims, do it by breeding like rats or do it by bombing buildings. It is sick and mean.

I'm not saying that our population is expanding fast - the point is that a Muslim community in a non-Muslim land tends to convert the non-Muslims around to Islam. For example, if Indonesia developed the largest Muslim population in the world simply by the Muslims who settled there reproducing rapidly, then the population would be entirely arab (the arabs being the first Muslims to settle in Indonesia.)

However, evedently this is not so. The Arab settlers persuaded the local Bhuddists and Hindus to convert to Islam, and these new converts in turn over many centuries converted more of the population.

Muslims are so keen to spread our faith to other people in order to protect the others from Hellfire.

That is not the point BUT they are living in islamic state by choice. Shouldn't they be living in the land of milk and honey... Seems like the wonderland only exists in the world of Alice. As for spread of Jehad how about preaching the opposite in Islaic states.

Don't ever get the impression its a one way street.
