    Wine..........Hala or Haram

I live in England and my whole family is in business e.g shops cash and carries superstores etc etc

In most business they sell wine as a part of their regular line

While Islam is clearly against its trade or use.......

    I am really confused
Their Rizaq is haram in the light of Quran and Sunnah .... but
As they are my close relatives and its impossible to stop socialising with them
I have to eat with them from their earnings

I am really lost what shall I do
Would my prayers, read in their homes with the haram Rizaq in my stomach, be acceptable
How can I stop them from this trade because whenever I have tried to mention this they come out with so many answers that I have to go quiet

This reminds me of the thread posted up by Elmo with headphones, a little while ago, http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/Forum13/HTML/003014.html

Wasir, I don't know really what advice to give you, and I really don't want to sound presumptuous. Its almost like a situation where you have to decide between two things that are dear to you, one is Allah swt, the other is your family. Life is full of hurdles and obstacles, and sometimes you have to distance yourself from one thing in order to fulfill the requirements of the other. And it may be hard, it may seem almost impossible. But sometimes you gotta do, what you gotta do. And Allah swt leaves the choice, the decision to you. You may already know the answer, or you might still have to do some soulsearching. Whatever the case may be, its your decision, your conscience and your faith.

'And He (commands you, saying): This is my straight path, so follow it. Do not follow other paths, which will separate you from His path. Thus He has ordered you so that you may be truly obedient.'(6:153)

Yeh GFQ u r right there
but still its a big question
Few years back I had an opportunity to buy the same business, and I was forced by many people not to miss this opportunity, and at that time financially I wasn't very stable but I preferred not to go for it.....
But Allah blessed me with a very nice job in turn which I could never even dream of

Wasir.. it is very true what you said about Wine/Beer/Port/Spirits etc is haram to sell or utilise but as you are depandent, I think you should think in the way bellow:

        1) You can try and stop your family to sell Daroo, if can't then try and stop yourself by drinking it.

Meaning: You are proving to Allah by been concern about it.

        2) Inama-ul Amalo bin niyat. Meaning You are judged on the thoughts not what the result comes out.

I hope this helps you in anyway....

          Cheerio....Bro
          A bit satisfactory for me
Another amazing thing our many elders who came here in 60s are regular drinkers, not all but most
I really feel disgusted when I see our elders in this evil habit
