is there any public holiday in Pakistan during this month? ...... and is it true that it's a national holiday in India?

There are two public holidays on 9th and 10th Moharram in Pakistan. Dont know about India

May be some indian member be able to tell us.

Muharram is definitely not a "national holiday" in India. However, it could be a holiday in some regions or institutions. For example, it used to be a holiday in my school (In Delhi)

The national holidays in India are only these:
1. Republic Day (Jan. 26),
2. Independence Day (Aug. 15),
3. Mahatma Gandhi's birthday (Oct. 02).

If I left out any other national holiday, I hope some other Indian member will correct me.
