Would you like to see Jhangir Tareen and Shah mehmood joining PTI

After the Lahore gathering Imran Khan is in focus. There is no doubt about his public support at the moment.. and some notable elect-ables are speculated to join PTI. Leading amongst them are Jhangir Tareen and Shah Mehmood Qureishi.. both are very strong in South Punjab.. and can give PTI a big advantage in an area where PTI is not yet taken seriously.

The problem with us Pakistans in general and media in particular is we see everything in absolute term. We would term anyone absolute evil instead of looking at particular actions.. Anyone who was a part of any other party becomes immediately evil. WE expect him to becomes a slave of the head of that party forever.. and if he takes a principled stand and changes his political affiliation we call him a lota.. Similarly any one who is in agriculture business, or hold land for agriculture purposes, or has a flourishing business becomes automatically evil..

Now coming back to the topic.. what's wrong with Shah Mehmood Qureishi or Jhangir Tareen..???

We talk a lot about correct declaration of assets by a politician.. if someone from Pakistan's political community has declared assets correctly.. Jhangir Tareen's name would come first. What's wrong with him trying to become a part of the system which was available in the country in the past. If we look his own contributions and track record.. he has always contributed positively to the country. His agriculture initiative for contamination free cotton, introducing high yielding sugar cane varieties, model farming, organized dairying, introduction of new crops like Rhoders grass/Lucern etc are examples to follow for rest of agriculture community. As a politician his contribution has always been positive for the country.. he has a great respect in his south Punjab constituencies where his service to his voters are greatly appreciated and he is re elected again and again..

Similarly as far as Shah Mehmood is concerned, the agricultural community regard him as their most trusted spokesman.. he has fought for their rights all his life. He has been the President of Farmers Association of Pakistan several times and enjoys a great respect in South Punjab by his voters. As a politician he recently took a huge stand against Pakistan' way of handling the American pressure, and American bullying of our country. He resigned from his post as a Foreign Minister..

Both gentlemen have not a single scandal of financial embezzlement in their entire careers as public representatives.. they have exposure of how things are actually worked out in a system. If they join PTI it will be a great benefit for Imran Khan whose party is being turned in to a single man cult more than an organization.

As a nation we have to stop being so judgmental by terming every one as evil. If some one tried to become a part of the available system and tried to change things in a positive manner.. he should not be termed as evil. These people are as much respectable Pakistanis as anyone else. They are educated intelligent positive people with a known history. PTians should feel lucky if they decide to join their platform. They are electables not only in their own constituencies but carry a huge support base and influence in a very large area of Pakistan.

Imran is being surrounded by some some emotional hawks now a days. his own arrogance also does not help people like these to join him. Imran's problem is also that he is being carried away by extra ordinary flattery of the cult members he has formed around him. Sometimes he uses obnoxious language by terming people as liars/opportunist and passing judgmental comments on them.. which annoys people. He has started to think too much about himself and thinks everyone else is corrupt/evil/opportunist. The immature emotional hawks worshiping his personally cult are not helping him a lot also and slowly he is being trapped in this viscous circle.

He has to realize in the end the only way he can bring a change is by execution. Politics is all about execution.. it's a game of turning possibilities in to realities. His conviction, honesty, credibility is beyond doubt.. it's a test for him now to play ion the hands of emotional/foolish cultish hawks or turning his new found public support in to something really meaningful. Only time will tell...

Jahangir Tareen's inclusion or alliance in PTI is not something which is result of Lahore Jalsa, this thing was on cards way before that and if i recall it right, the concept of clean party was first leaked in newspapers in July and it was the massacre, international events followed by the floods which delayed such announcement....

Any politician who did not leached money should be welcome.
I know if I were in pre Imran politics, I would be clean as for money is concerned, but would have bad
reputation with loyalties. After all I would not be so keen being loyal with most corrupt people.

People like Rehman Malik have always been hallmarks of Pakistan Peoples Party where they can rise through the ranks helping make illegal activities of their masters easier.

why would the cleanest daktar rahman malik, sakorti manajer benazir bhutto, right hand of chairman tahayiaaat (mutabiq vaseeyat nama ahliya) PPP join the dirtiest politician on earth? He belongs to PPP and perfectly blends in there.

Mian Azhar Q main ho to Bura .

Masood Sahareef , He is now good.
However they all are better than the 'Dirtiest politician of the world'

I read today that Shah Mahmood is working to make a forward block in PPP Punjab. That will be a good news. Hope people like Raza Rabbani and Aitezaz Ehsan join in.
But I hope Shah Mahmood does not join PTI. But instead keep his group as real PPP.

The word "real" was used only from SMQ's perspective. Otherwise, obviously there is no difference between real or fake PPP, as far as I am concerned.
Point was that Shah Mahmood and others can potentially break PPP in two.

PTI is a political party and by virtue of that cannot *stop* people from joining it. However, important posts and party tickets would hopefully only be given to those who can prove their means of earning and can declare their assets. So that answers the criticism on PTI that it is accepting a few bad apples as well. As regards people like Masood Shareef Khattak and Mian Azhar, I think they are a great addition to PTI.

And we have seen one example of such posting in Gujranwala when a guy who worked real hard to organize the party from nothing was removed and son/relative of newly joined bhinder was appointed in his place... do we need to wait and see for more examples like this...
