230 Pakistani troops attained sahadat in the past two weeks

    http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/...rt_id=11204696

AS a result of the increase in hostilities along the Indo-Pak border, the Indian army today said 230 Pakistani soldiers had been killed in the last two weeks alone in retaliatory fire on Pakistani posts.

While the engagements with Pakistani forces were mainly along the international border in the Jammu, RS Pura, Samba and Hiranagar sectors and across the LoC in Poonch, Rajouri, Naushera and Akhnoor sectors, the army also confirmed that Dras, for the first time since the Kargil conflict, witnessed heavy shelling.

According to army headquarters here, the heavy casualties in the Pakistani ranks were a result of intense bombardment of mortars and shells on Pakistani posts.

The army’s information has confirmed that at least 70 soldiers had been killed and more than 75 bunkers had been destroyed on the Pakistani side across the LoC.

The damage is believed to be more in the plains near Jammu and RS Pura with an estimated 160 Pakistani regulars being killed. Officials here, however, admitted to civilian casualties on the Indian side of the IB maintaining that the reason for this was that Pakistani positions were targeting villages close to the border.

    --------------------------------------------
Ofcourse the Pakistan Govt. will deny this. It was the same during Kargil when Pakistan denied all casualty reports. Deposed PM Nawaz Sharif revealed later that the no. of Pakistani casualties in Kargil was worse than in the 1971 war. So there may be truth in these reports too.

Please, do not dishonor the zero lest we should give our Bharati friends yet another reason to call for a "decisive fight".
