    What Did Mushraaf's Referendum ACHIEVE?

Now that all the noise is over and Perveez Mushraaf is the darling of Pakistanis according to the ballot, can enlightened Guppies enlighten me in turn and tell me what this Referendum actually acheived for Pakistan?

Nothing Andra, Mush is not doing anything to develop Pak. As a regular, you should be aware of this by now.

Well Realdeal bhai, I am aware you are not his big fan but let me tell you something as an Indian observer.

Perveez MUshraaf is jumping from crisis to crisis.
The first crisis (Kargil) was his own making but the rest are not.

He is in the same position as all Army rulers of Pakistan are.
For him NOT to be a traitor to Pak he MUST be a traitor to his own army!!
No ifs and butts about it.

Apart from that, he has a lot of Chutpaz which I kinda like.

He has no gameplan for either Kashmir or Pakistan.
He really has no control over Law & Order in his own country!!

I know it is easy to say, but he should bite the bullet, hold a REAL election on the understanding he would be given a pardon and get the hell out of Pakistan!!

He can't settle the Kashmir dispute the way Pakistanis want to see it settled.
Infact the Pakistani is not yet born who can!!

So why not hold elections and be done with it?

Of course NOT. As far as I know, Pakistan has been banned formCommon Wealth Associationsince Musharraf came into power. Due to economic & political stability, Army has to leave the positions of citizens. If Army won't do General Election in Oct, then I will be definitely against Musharraf, no wonder!

But Pak is now acceped in international circles. And if Army is still in charge of Pak, despite change of faces, what is the difference?
