THE LUST FOR BLOOD AND OIL

THE LUST FOR BLOOD AND OIL
    http://bigeye.com/foreignc.htm

“Old Afghan hands have repeatedly warned the US not to get involved in Afghan tribal and ethnic politics, not to set up permanent bases, not to drive north into Central Asia, and not to force Pakistan into becoming another obedient US client state, like Egypt or Turkey. But Bush Administration crusaders, gripped by lust for blood and oil, are charging forward. In a truly shameful act, the Administration is even sending troops to Georgia to battle Chechen independence fighters in the Caucasus mountains.”

Hope Pakistani military rulers would learn lesson from above article.

    Sincerely,

Well, as they say, beggers cant be choosers and its a fact that Pakistan has become a nation of beggers. Its a bitter pill we have to swallow, but swallow it we must. We can sit here and argue over ethics, values and virtues till the cows come home. In the mean time, poverty increases, the education system crumbles, industry becomes dormant, infrastructre becomes outdated, and crimes spirals out of control. Fact is that we cannot solve our problems unless we have help. We have to think practical, and logic dictates that the most practical way of improving the economy is buy finding whatever kind of investment we can. We need the Americans, and we need the oil pipeline, we have to capatalize on our geography. It will bring in more jobs, more money, improved economy, improved investment etc. With this money, the govt can develop the country for the betterment of the people of Pakistan and the region. I hope the Afghans can understand the folly of their ways. Fighting will not solve their problems, they must realize the have to welcome outside asistance if the want to develop their nation for the sake of their people and their society.
