An excerpt from the news,...which highlights,..the cost and reason for peace..
    >

"It is the responsibility of civil society to help them realize the better fruits of peace than wars.

Over the last 50 years, how many sons have been lost, how many women have become widows, and how many children have become orphans? It is now a moment for soul-searching for the people of the two countries.

How many billions of rupees have been spent on military capabilities at the cost of education, health and other civic facilities? Is this not the concern of all the people of India and Pakistan? How many more generations would they like to throw away for their false pride and ego? Would they like to shift this burden of history to the next generations or would they like to imprint their own names in history? By peace one does not mean cowardliness and seeking refuge from realities.

By peace we mean development and well-being of the people of South Asia".

Indeed it is very good article. Tariq thankx for sharing. Its is not just media that has responsibility but public as well. Media can only pass the views of people to Govts. I hope people also play their role in the peace process.
