Depends, If AWC was an Indian company an me an Indian then I would use the word indigenous all the way.

But to answer your question it was designed by (AWC) Air Weapons Complex of Pakistan but I bet components were inmported.

Are there any plans - that you know of - to make all these things purely domestically?
And if so do you know how long it will take.

Yes ofcourse, eg.. Our Al-Khalid is 70 percent indigenous. But the key components the engine, (FCS) Fire control systems are imported. Plans are under way to produce a piston engine domestically for Al-Khalid.

There are 450 companies involved in Pakistan producing different components for Al-Khalid.
