Looks like relations are slowly improving ...
Pakistan's Musharraf greets Indian leadership on national day
Pakistani military ruler General Pervez Musharraf and President Muhammad Rafiq Tarar have extended greetings to Indian leaders for India's Republic Day Friday, officials said.
Their "warmest felicitations" for India's national day came in messages to Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and President Kocheril Raman Narayanan.
"Excellency, on the auspicious occasion of the National Day of the Republic of India, on behalf of the people and the government of Pakistan, I would like to extend our warmest felicitations to your excellency, the government and the people of India," Musharraf wrote to Vajpayee.
The messages are unlikely to thaw frosty relations or improve prospects for peace in divided Kashmir, the focus of various diplomatic gambits in recent months.
