    imf money prolongs dependance?

If the World Bank and the IMF are responsible in large measure for this pathetic record, so are our corrupt governments. Could they not have turned down loans that they knew were being given on conditions that would only enhance poverty and could not be repaid? This begs three questions: 1) Where did those governments come from? Whom did they really represent? Who foisted them upon us, helped them and encouraged them, all in the name of keeping Soviet communism at bay? 2) Why did the IMF and World Bank give loans to corrupt and inefficient governments knowing full well that they would be misused and never returned? They are responsible too for this crime against humanity. Or was the idea really to bind Pakistan hand and foot so that one day it would reach bankruptcy and have no option but to do as it was told? 3) What are we really being told? For answer you have to search no further than America's well-known political conditions. Accept an unjust Kashmir solution even at the risk of starting a domino effect; roll back the nuclear programme and leave yourself to the mercy of Indian hegemony; murder America's child Osama; close down America's failed Taliban experiment. But countries always have an independent option. America, its instruments of colonisation and our leaders should pause and reflect before that option is exercised for lack of any other. It might cause even greater suffering to us in the short-term, but it will do grave, indeed irreparable, damage to the international financial system. After all, those thousands who have demonstrated against IMF-World Bank policies in Seattle, Washington and Prague can't all be mad. The lid has been taken off Pandora's Box and the IMF knows it.
The only answer to the Third World's death trap of debt is shock therapy. It is the only treatment for junkies. If they don't dry out soon the shock is not too far away.___________

Indies are getting 4 billion dollars a year from world bank, over 550 million people living on less than a dollar, the quickest growing population in the world, one of the world largest and growing HIV/Aids epidemics.

Those who live in glass houses....

        Should not throw stones.

Yeah so what does it prove, most of the third world are facing these circumstances, even countries such as South Korea are in debt.

Even first world countries such as UK have huge debts, but they have more stable economies, and dont have to borrow from international funds.

Then i think the third world should get together, and shut the imf down, it is just a way of keeping poor nations poor.
