US says it is ready to welcome Nawaz
WASHINGTON (Online) - The US government is prepared to welcome the deposed Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif, if he wishes to settle down in the US.
This was said by a senior official of the US Foreign Ministry during a Press conference.
To a question that whether like the United Kingdom which had offered Nawaz to come there if he wished, the US was willing to react in the same way and whether the US had played any role in the Nawaz exile-deal, the official said he was not ready to comment on the US role in the deal.
However, he added, it was obvious that the US had not imposed any restrictions on Nawaz Sharif's settling down n the US if he wished so after his exile from Pakistan.
