Recently a Pakistani banker revealed that out of the estimated 60,000 beggars in the Indian city of Calcutta, some 35,000 maintain saving accounts in banks. He was not commenting on the profession of begging in the City of Joy but deploring the Pakistani penchant for over-spending and not practising the habit of saving money like Indians.

Not pakistanis but Muslims in general don't save much.
In a way I find it refreshing.I always observed that except when they absolutely have to they don't compromise on food and clothing.
Unfortunately majority of them are poor.
