    Eighteen injured in Pindi blast


    Eighteen persons were injured two of them seriously when a bomb exploded in the busiest Raja Bazaar business centre here Thursday.

    Police said the bomb, placed in front of a roadside cloth vendor at the Fawarra Chowk went off at about 6.10 pm. Injuring eighteen persons. All the ijured were vrushed to nearby Civil Hospital where two of them are stated to be in critical condition.


    The blast created panic in the area and police reached the spot along with Bomb Disposal squad for rescue and relief operation. Police contingents led by Commissioner Rawalpindi, DIG Farid Nawaz, SSP Kaleem Imam and other senior officials cordoned off the area to start investigations. DIG Rawalpindi while talking to the public at the spot assured them that all aspects would be kept in mind while investigating the blast.


    Some of the injured identified so far are Farid, Muhammad Kaleem, Zameer Ahmed, Nisar, Manzoor, Hafiz and Saadullah. Manzoor is stated to be in critical condition.


    No one has claimed responsibility for the explosion. Seventeen people were killed and more than a hundred were injured in a bomb blast in Islamabad Fruit Market last month.

    The leading pak-indo analysts say that any bombing indiscrimnate of people or religion is usually from an outside source.
    Most sectarian violence is pak on pak.
    But bomb blasts like this aren't.
    There are two sources, anti-taliban forces who are angry with the pakistani support or India.
    But can easily setup these bombings.
