    We need be quick

Anybody watch CNN World Report today???
If you didn't you missed a very interesting report from Uzbek TV.
The Uzbek PM is playing political games.
On the Eve of Mussarafs visit to Turkemistan working on the gas pipe line - which the US and Russia are after, The Uzbek PM is in India condoning the Taliban govt and all those who support it, meaning mainly Pakistan.
We need to consolidate power in this region for it to work to our advantage.
Pakistan has always worked for the betterment of both parties in any deal.
I think we need to work in our favour and if we can help our close allies like China and Saudi Arabia we should.
But we should make deals in our favour.
Now the Issue of the Gas Pipeline, there are around 7 different nations competing for this rich resevior of raw materials.
    1. US firm UNOCAL
    2. Delta of Saudi Arabia
    3. Itochu of Japan
    4. Gazprom of Russia
    5. Inpex of Japan
    6. Hyundai of South Korea
    7. Crescent of Pakistan
Now we need to bring the Centeral Asian countries into our fold.
We are starting with Turkmenistan, next we should go to Tajikistan which boards China and we already have road created in that area.
If that road could be imporved and modified we could have a very strong link with the small nation, rich in natural resources and uranium.
Then we need to look at Uzbekistan and Kirgistan etc.
You can't fix stupid. So might as well troll them!

I think Pak should put more efforts in solar, wind and water energies because they are re-cyclable, thus for a much longer time while oil and gas not. But that doesn't mean that we should not exercize our clout on oil & gas search, reserves, supply, distribution and consumption.

You are right that we should be working for recyclable resources.
But my point was that we should develop this link as a strong foundation for a cheap resource for the pakistani people.
This will be the foundation on which we can expand trade with Turkemistan.
If we get a healthy trade in our favour - by exporting clothing, fruits etc, in return for the oil and gas pipe line we could profit handsomely.
Also we could provide our warm water port ie Karachi for them to export their products.
We could provide cheaper rates than Iran and other countries.
This will cause the other central asian states to move their trade between our borders and we getting revenue without lifting a finger.
You can't fix stupid. So might as well troll them!

why can't the afghans settle down..jesus man its been decades since these babarians have been at each others throat.....they are the only problem....we have in creating the most wonderful trade region....imagine a motorway running from ashkabad to karachi....imagine the revenues in royalties, and indirect benefits of trade.....but only, if these barbariabs settle down..they wouldn't let anything go through...
