    World's B Club

The Number of billionaires has ballooned to over 700 this year! After the US, India added the most new entrants...Now the Indian roster is 20+ with Mittal perched up up there at world #5, above even the oil sheiks!

After dwelling in the billions this may not sound that big but listen to this - the IIM Bangalore guy was offered $193000 in campus recruitment, by Barclays! Where were all these international firms when I graduated!

        Re: World's B Club

Not even one poster has anything to say on this topic. How unsurprising. Talk about poverty in India and the posters would be swarming like flies to belittle India.

Ramblings apart most of these Indians who have made it to the billionaire club stay outside India. It is time that India made its economy more open so that these entreprenuers can come back to India and flourish here.

RS, IIMs salaries this year are just too good.. why didn't Indian economic growth took place 10 years ealier......
IIMA guy gets 185K USD, Local Highest Salary for IIM B grad is Rs. 30L/yr.
This is interesting since IIM students are being taken at par with Top 10 universities in US for jobs....... in financial market...
30%+ batch got placed on day zero, that is salary above 15L+/yr.
          Awesome..

Rahul these salaries are for individuals being placed in the US. I would be much more happier if we can generate employment for these individuals right at home.

Your point about the fact such salaries were not offered a decade ago is valid. The rapid economic growth and the ability of the Indian Institutes to churn out world class professionals should be the main reason

You have a point, Just two points to add..
              1. Its been proved that expats (IITians/ IIM) guys send back much more money to India than Indian Govt spends on them, it could be better if they stay, but even if they go abroad its a good investment.
              2. All the salaries in Lakhs (L) are Indian Salaries, cool 2L per month in hand in India as a 24yr old...... :-)

                Re: World's B Club

actually somebody who got Rs.35lakhs to work in India is probably financially better of than his batchmate who who got $193K to work abroad.

So Mr.Rashguy, I hope you no longer have to be that worried about IIM graduates and their prospects in India
