    Bomb blasts in Karachi: 8 dead, 22 injured

    KARACHI: At least 8 people including a woman were killed while 22 injured when a bomb exploded in central Karachi on Monday, sources said on Monday.

    The bomb appeared to have been planted near a roadside sugarcane machine in Arambagh Road in downtown Karachi. Those injured were taken to the hospital and 2 were said to be in serious condition, added the sources.

    Wonder when a bomb blast gonna take place in Mumbai.

    Pakistani national held in capital, RDX seized
    New Delhi: The Delhi police has arrested a Pakistani national linked with Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) along with two of his Indian contacts and recovered 860 gms of RDX explosives, detonators and timers concealed in toys from them, a top police official said today. The Pakistani national Abdul Rashid alias Sheeda and his Indian contacts Aas Mohammad and Mohammad Ismail, both residents of Gurgaon in Haryana, were nabbed from the inter-state bus stop at Dhaula Kuan yesterday, deputy commissioner of police Ashok Chand told reporters here. In all, two slabs of RDX weighing 860 gms, two ABCD timers which could be set for times ranging from eight minutes 32 seconds to 194 days, and four electronic detonators were found concealed in the cavities of the toys under their possession, he said. Chand said the police are still probing the exact source and final destination of the recovered RDX. A case of sedition, waging war against the state and Explosive Substances Act have been registered against them, he said. The trio have been remanded to 10 days police remand till January 27, 2000.
