Indian Navy to Remain on High Alert
NEW DELHI, July 13: The Indian navy will remain on maximum alert on the country's western coast near Pakistan until the last batch of "militants"
leaves "Indian Kashmir", the Indian Navy Chief said today. Admiral Sushil Kumar told reporters in Calcutta that the navy would not stand down despite a weekend declaration by Pakistan that Mujahideen would be pulled out from Kashmir.
"The navy will continue to maintain a high level of alert till the situation improves," Kumar said. "It would be incorrect to lower our guard and we must always remain alert and militarily strong," he added.
