Pakistan most fascinating investment place, say U.A.E President

Pakistan has become the most fascinating investor friendly country in the world because of the positivie policies introduced by President General Pervaiz said Shaikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahyan President of U.A.E. He was laying the foundation of Sheikh Zayed Center in Lahore. Same things Shaukat Aziz our Prime Minister says. But Pakistan is so fine an investment place then how it is U.E.A after the Saudi Arabia is the second biggest country in investing in India according figures of a U.A.E based survey. If investment in Pakistan is the most lucrative amongst the world then how it is the assets shown by Shaukat Aziz still show to elephant size bank accounts in U.S.A. Why he has not transferred that money into Pakistan as he advises others to close their accounts abroad and put in Pakistani banks.

Shaikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahyan is not the President of U.A.E, he is Minister of Higher Education.

As for Shaukat Aziz, guess thats a personal decision and to be fair, he has put his big, fat, citi-bank a$$ on the line, had it nearly blown once....he is a family man

                  Is there any link munphat?

As for why investments aren't shifted from India to Pakistan, India has built and maintained an investment friendly culture for decades, they are world wide known for their quality labor and flexibility. Moving anything from one place to another is a costly affair and for any business venture, pros and cons are weighted in financial gains. Although Pak may become more investment friendly that Indian, which is highly possible, cost of moving can be higher than gains in Pak. Waise, Pakistan has just started running and judging by the news, we're doing pretty okay. I don't recall any other PM, except Aziz, talking about education or universities, or acknowledging the fact that Asia is in focus business wise, and that we have to secure a position. Our president or PM doesn't go to important trade meetings to discuss Kashmir anymore, which is one important step ahead. Positive signals are being sent out about Pak working towards becoming a modern state, which is important if we want others to setup business in Pak.

I don't understand the pessimist attitude of Pakistanis here - can't you be happy for the nation even if this is wishful thinking, you're not investing a dime there anyway.

Sabah whats an investment friendily culture? I have never heard that phrase before esp considering Indian only opened up to FDi in the late 80s early 90s.

Thats strange, as its pretty known phrase. Here you go anyway.

Investment friendly = You make profit easily. Easy access to qualified labor. Flexible 'n adoptable business culture, government supporting and encouraging new business opportunities etc. Foreign investment/investors are relatively safe. In short all the basic criteria that make someone want to invest in a country, cheap labor alone doesn't cut it else a lot of African countries would've out done India log ago.

Late 80 to early 90 is 15+ years, which is 10+ years more than Pak.
