    Jail size in Pakistan.

I have been hearing that in order to stop Asif Zardari holding a public rally, Pakistani police arrested anything between 15,000 - 35,000 people.

    Where were these people held?

in their homes, because they (zardari fans including the man himself) were too scared to go out, they had all requested police escorts. and, tried to play smart by tricking the media saying they had been arrested or refrained from movement, so that there would be no 'shame shame' upon their claims that theyd take the country by storm. which they couldnt and didnt. he was in khi today moving freely visiting the Murtaza Bhutto case hearing with just two pickups full of so called self hired flag waving suporters, this in his own city!
where did the supporters in millions go?

and btw, the figures are widely exagerated. plus the scenes on TV shown the day he arrived in Lhr were arrests of a few ppl who inspite of calling themselves leaders and law abiding citizens broke the law and violated the then imposed sec 144, which forbids public gatherings, protests etc which could lead to unrest.
