Indian Army's Defence Chief killed in chopper crash

"This happens when you give awards to the fallen and disgraced pilots like abinandan. I think indian Air force needs complete overhauling from training to the Airctafts.

And the Pakistanies who are expressing regret over the loss of "human lives" should ask their parents or grand parents how India humiliated pak in 1971. Seems like people of land of pure have long forgotten their enemies. The damage Indians are inflicting on us economically n politically is beyond imagination."

New Delhi(CNN)India's top military official was killed Wednesday when an Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter carrying 14 people crashed in southern India, the IAF confirmed, with only one survivor.

Chief of Defense Staff Gen. Bipin Rawat died along with his wife, Madhulika Rawat, the IAF said via Twitter. He had been in the post for almost two years.

The helicopter, which had a crew of four, crashed near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu state while en route from Sulur to the town of Wellington in Tamil Nadu, the IAF said.
The survivor, Group Capt. Varun Singh, is being treated for his injuries at the Military Hospital in Wellington, the IAF said.

The cause of the crash is not yet known. The IAF said "an inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident."

We lost two Army Aviation pilot Majors a couple of days ago in a crash. I dont know if you heard about it. Crashes happen, **** happens. Awarding a medal to shaapar like Abhinandan has nothing to do with the crash. It didnt happen in war-time, it happened in peace-time. A loss of life is a loss of life. Even Gen Bajwa extended his condolences to the bereaved family.

We are all in the same game, just different levels•
Dealing with the same hell, just different devils•

The person who died in the crash is the one who has Kashmiri blood on his hands. I think we should have some respect for kashmiries.

Most important lesson for Pakistan on the sudden death of India’s top general is that no one is discussing whether it will change India’s government or India’s policy or its direction as a nation. On the other hand, even transfer-postings of 3rd tier generals in Pakistan are believed to have huge implications for the present government’s tenure and future government’s formation. Love it or hate it but that is how strong the civilian control in India is.

The real reason for the crash may never be known. It could be an accident or it could be an attack.

As far as the man himself is concerned, Bipin Rawat had become BJP's political spokesman during the past few years. From speaking out against CAA and NRC protests to attending BJP’s events, he was openly political. For that reason, many Indians have breathed a sigh of relief at his early departure. In Nagaland and North East, people have even secretly celebrated. Those are parts of India where AFSPA(Armed Forces Special Powers Act) has been in place since 1958 and only 4 days before the crash several villagers were killed in an Indian military raid, and then more villagers were killed who protested the killing.

Not war time when it all took place as someone's already said. Be considerate and respect a loss of life

In the mist of it all, Kashmir is destined to be ours, if not independent. One who lost his life evidently was just a pawn in the whole scheme of crooks. He were to do as he was told to. Being compassionate doesn't take no penny

Its a bit more complicated than that. To be honest I felt good when I heard of his death. But surprisingly many living in India felt good as well, so much so that Indian government has cracked down on those who expressed such feelings including some former Indian soldiers who felt the same way. Seems like there were lots of people who saw him represent something bad.

Stop playing games with the lives of kashmiries. If anyone is worthy of consideration it's kashmiries. Your parents or grandparents were humiliated 50 years ago, yet you are giving us bhashan on consideration and loss of life lol. Jab chaha Kashmir issue utha diya, jab chaha considerate ho gaye, this policy of establishment will not work anymore. Bajwa is heading an army that never fought war and will never fight. They are getting perks and benefits without any work and will not mind getting these till next 100 years.
So nope, no consideration for the enemy that conducts operation on daily basis killing scores of kashmiries, yet we consider it "peace times". Pakis thinking so should be ashamed of themselves.
