What in the world are they going to talk about to cast themselves in a positive light? What accomplishments in the past 4 years can possibly merit re-election? Look for a lot of smoke and mirrors shrouded in the American flag.

Looks like they are going to keep the hatemongers off the stage and fill it full of fluff that has nothing to do with this adminstration or its policies like Ahnold, Pataki, McCain and Giuliani. Just another chance to pull the wool over the eyes of the American Public.

I am actually looking forward to one Keynote Speech. The one that will be given by DEMOCRATIC Senator Zell Miller. The same Zell Miller who gave the keynote speech at Bill Clinton's 1992 nominating convention.

At the Clinton convention, he called the first President Bush "a timid man who hears only the voices of caution and the status quo." Now he endorses GW and heads a group of DEMS who support him.

It's because of thoughtful Americans like Zell Miller who puts partisanship second to duty to country that I can honestly say: "Some of my best friends are Democrats."

I am not sure why McCain supports our joker president. He should have run as an independent!!

Anyway, does anyone know whos playing at the Republican Convention? I know who is not!!!

John Mccain is the only Republican that I have some respect for. He is the most Democrat Republican one can find. When Decocarts are right about something he will acknowldge it. He is conservative but open minded and fair. One thing for sure He doesn't practice patisan Politics like those crooks and liars sitting in White House right now. What a bunch of thugs.

GOP has a lame duck giving the keyunote address.
I am always intrigued by lame duck politicians who somehow begin to grow a backbone when theior political career is not at stake. as one of the political commentrators said, they should be candid about their views when they are candidates, not when they are lame ducks

An interesting article about upcoming elections with foucs on Missouri. Virtually the geographical centre of the United States, Missouri is once again a swing state.

Giuliani's message is that if you don't vote for Bush more 9/11's will happen and you and your children will die. He exploits the tragedy of 9/11 which is disrespectful to those who died and to those who lost someone. The politicalization of 9/11 by these clowns is quite disheartening but expected as Bush's campaign is based on fear.

They attack Kerry because Kerry wanted to know how the $87 billion for Iraq was going to be used, Kerry wanted the money to accounted for what is so wrong with that?

i agree with u....giuliani was rude and his speech was based on fear...he did not mention one single word about domestic problems.... and whole time he was mentioning 911.........911 911 911 911......i guess he pretty much set the tone for republican’s campaign.....negative campaign......if rudy thinks that he was securing a political future for himself by criticizing john Kerry, he was wrong......in fact he showed his own “profile”.....yes some criticism of John Kerry was expected but there is a difference between a stand-up comedian and a political leader….

I really liked john McCain’s speech though…not because I happen to live few blocks from his place…. But he delivered a serious, thoughtful and respectful speech without any attacks on opponents…he is really a sober person. I wish he would have won republican nomination in 2000 instead of bush…anyways it is never too late….
