why dont people join Pak military?

are there any drawbacks from joining pakistan military? Im here in USA, and I hate it here, and I like the military, but USA military is so corrupt and disgusting.

The title of your thread says youre misinformed. as a matter of fact every year an average of 1000 young men join the three armed forces of pakistan as officer cadets and a much larger figure joins other ranks. Pakistan's three forces are among the world's very best due to their supreme competency, training and expertise along with devotion to cause and country. many famous analysts and renowned military personnel from all over the world have commended the Pakistani military for its excellence in all fields and one couldnt be prouder to know thaton a one on one basis the individual Pakistani soldier is much better than an individual US, British or Russian, German soldier-this has been written down by experts like Chuck Yeager.
There are no drawabacks for joining the military in Pakistan. like every profession you have to adapt to that particular lifestyle and be competent enough to survive and excel and meet the requirements. If you are an american citizen you will have to surrender your coveted blue passport for the simple green one. You will have to go through 2-3 years of vigorous training at one of the three military academies depending on which force and course you choose. the 3 academies are excellent institutions and award graduate degrees on passing out.
US military shouldnt be an option for a muslim or Pakistani even thogh they say they take everyone in and dont discriminae but they do. all the blacks, yellows, latinos are the first to be sent into pitfires like Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan. With the pakistan force the individual soldier has a purpose or ambition; the passion to serve the country or religion and not just make a living and perhapsthat's what makes our force the best.

This is what I dont get. I want to join the PK military, but there are 2 parts to which you can enter correct?

1. A regular soldier
2. The academy

Now can someone tell me the process and benefits for each one. I will only join if:

1. they provide me a place to live
2. Give me enough money to live

When you join the army as a cadet, you will be paid Rs. 2,500 ($40) per month as a cadet. They will however provide you with a place to live.

free place to live, with no utility bills

officers mess with all indoor and outdoor sports stuff, gym etc

as officers your children get education at minimal rates in all top institutions in Pakistan

First ......haroon bear in mind.....not to go to army unless u have the passion for serving the country..........pay scales are not that good consedering to what u r earning right now........u'll have to go through rigourous training........in each batch of academy there are atleast 2/3 ppl who run away from the course...............so keep ur head clear about this.......
u'll get many benefits and perquisits.........but they will cost u.....

u'll have to shed any other nationality u have......have to clear a 4 step selection process....
