Pakistani Doctors In Usa

dont know about america, but in canada they dont accept foreign docs.

in canada u gotta go through a few tests, and then get residency . this whole process can take years. and they only have 30 or so seats available, and more than a thousand apply. if ur coming to canada to be a doc u gotta be a bachelor, and you gotta study like crazy. after ur done studyin ur set for life.

im here in usa now a days and preparing for my steps. i just wanted to have discussion with doctors here from pakistan to know about the opputunities here and about these exams and other credit gaining activities like electives and observership.

hskhan....i believe its the same way here in America. You have to do a few tests, and residency later on in order to practise medicine in this country.

hey dia,
although not a physician myself, but am aware of the USMLE steps having worked a little bit with docs from abroad preparing for the three exams and I've helped specifically for the CSA.

Also, my cousin went through the three steps and is currently based in NJ for his residency, and I can put you in touch with him if you want.
