Allah na karay kay I have to get the admission in any university (well apart from one http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/wink.gif ) .My brother is interested to get admission there and hence asked me for the info.
Anyhow, I didn't post it in the Academics as more people visit and I just wanted a general overview of the universities in canada.

In the Toronto area:
York University, Ryerson University and I believe University of Toronto is starting up an IT department.
In any case, you may want to check out the local colleges: Centenial, Seneca, Sheridan, Humber

What, did you think that We created you in mere idle play, and that you would not be returned to Us? But, high exalted is God, the King; the True! There is no god but He, the Lord of the Noble Throne. [al-Muminun 23: 115-116]22.1 . O mankind! Fear your Lord . Lo! the earthquake of the Hour ( of Doom ) is a tremendous thing .

Most of thses collleges only offer diploma. i think there are some programs in Humber college in telecommunications diplomas for only post grduates.
Ryerson and York do not have any MSc in IT program yet...just Bsc only but York and UFT have Masters and Phd in computer science ...and they have tonnes of desis in York university and also in the surrounding areas. I think Uft also have MSC and Phd in Information Systems...u can check the link here:

Beside Toronto, second best place is in Vancouver universities such as .....University of British Columbia..and university of Victoria etc
University of Western Ontario also offers Master in Library and informaton sciences

University of Toronto offers BSc, Msc, and PhD in Computer Science. They are opening up a whole new IT building which will exclusively be for IT students. It's gonna be great.
University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario is considered the number one Uni in canada for Computer Science. But it's very competitive and hard to get into. But once you're in, you're set. York has a good Comp Sci program and so does Ryerson.
Among colleges, Sheridan college is the best in IT education. It also has a post grad IT diploma program for those who don't have an IT background but hold a Bachelors degree.
Hope this helped.

Everyone here has covered most of the info...but khan_sahib and freestylla if you have any more specific questions feel free to ask them. I'll be glad to help you folks. In canada we have different criterias for canadian/immigrant and international students. The major difference is $$..for international students the education cost is almost triple but its cheaper as compared to some other countries.
