    7 SOLID MARKS!!!!! OH GOSH!

    There was this stupid question in my physics o level paper:

    Two spheres (A and B) are hung using an insulated thread. Sphere A is made of polythene. When they are hung near each other they move away a bit.

    Q1) Suggest what material is the sphere B made of.

    Q2) How does your choice of material in Q1 explain the behaviour of the two spheres?

    Sphere B is replaced by another Sphere, C, which is also made of polythene. The two now move towards each other.

    Q3) Why do they behave in the way they do?

    Note: The question didnt say anything about the charges they originally had (an we assume that they were uncharged?)
