    The Big 5

This would'nt be for the jokes section as it applies to techies in the Big 5 consulting firms.

Once upon a time, there was a shepherd looking after his sheep on the edge
of a deserted road. Suddenly, a brand new Jeep Cherokee screeched to a halt
next to him. The driver, a young man dressed in an Armani suit, Cerrutti
shoes, Ray-Ban glasses, and a YSL tie, gets out and asks the shepherd: "If I
guess how many sheep you have, will you give me one of them?" The shepherd
looks at the young man, then at the grazing flock, and says: "All right!"
The young man parks the car, connects his notebook and mobile phone, enters
a NASA site, scans the ground using his GPS, opens a database and 60 Excel
tables filled with algorithms, then prints a 150-page report with his
high-tech mini-printer. He then turns to the shepherd and says: "You have
exactly 1,586 sheep here." The shepherd replies: "Yes, that's correct, you
may have your sheep." The young man takes a sheep and puts it in the back of
his Jeep. The shepherd looks at him and asks: "If I guess your profession,
will you return my sheep?" The young man answer: "Yes, why not?" The
shepherd says: "You are an Arthur Andersen Consultant!" "However did you
know?" asks the young man. "Very simple," replied the shepherd, "first, you
came here without being called. Second, you charge me a sheep to tell me
something I already knew. Third, you do not understand anything about what
I do, because you took my dog!"

    Sooooooooo true

Hey as long as it was an AC consultant! ;-)

Thats very true. So far I have worked in groups with Arthur Andersen and Andersen Consulting and Andersen Consulting takes the cake .

Andersen takes a bash from every single consulant I know except AC's own storm troopers, but when they leave even they start on the bash AC bandwagon.

I sometimes wonder how they stay in business..but then the answer really explains the huge salaries of the principals and partners.
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he did not exist. And like that... he is gone.
