    Await Financial Stability

For guys who have to provide roti(food), kapra(clothes) and makaan(shelter) by themselves. Is it a good idea to delay getting into a relationship for marriage until you achieve financial stability? A resounding Yes would be the obvious answer. But there are just so many economic risks out there. How long can one delay ! Let’s say if a guy has savings sufficient for a small family for 6 months at zero income. Should that be good enough of a safety net?

@Babban, please don’t ruin the discussion with your 2 cents.

I can tell ya from experience..these are tough times and ya can never be "financially stable" at the right time. I mean..who knows what the right time is. The main thing is to find stability in the job..no matter what ya do. And do not rely on your savings just because ya want to be in relationship

So the essence is ..that you can never be sure about financial stability especially with economic uncertainty. But ya can have the right intentions, giving your 100% and having supportive partner to steer though the difficult time.

If you are a 2 marrying a 5 than you need financial stability, if you are a 5 marrying a 2 than you don’t need it. Welfare housing is filled with miles of people who had faith in the system.

That is quite what I think as well. Plus, job security is so 20th century! By the way, I meant savings besides a job so in case one loses the job there is a safety net for a couple of months. Nevertheless, it’s stressful.
