Organize file by Date...how?

Yea it's a stupid question, but XP's stupid! HTF do I organzie my mp3s by date in a folder? I dont care about year, album or mother's maiden name....i just wanna organzie em by the date i put em on my computer! Thanks.

organize or sort?
you can sort them by right clicking -> Arrange by -> Date

well I organise my log file by giving DATE in the file name.. like Web-it-220708.txt

I dont know if this is exactlywhat you are aiming to do, but here is what u think u are trying to get: -

Open up ur MP3 folder, view in Detail mode and sort by "date created" or "Date Modified". You may select additional sort orders by right-clicking on the the column headers.

Moreover different media player applications has inbuilt mechanisms to let them sort by date, atrist etc attributes. Use them thats what they r supposed to be for.

Just a side note not knowing how to operate one thing doesnt make it stupid.

it was like this before (note no option to arrange by date other than the year written in the song's tag:

noticed didnt have date created like g3, experimented..got :
