Inpage Operation error when copying files from Novell

Since past few weeks when copying a bunch of files or folders from Netware 5 server to Windows 2000 Server I've been getting the following error message:

Cannot copy {filename}: Error performing inpage operation.

I recall doing searches on google groups and there were more questions than solutions to this problem. I think some said that it is caused by a faulty NIC, but I don't think thats the case since its happening on more than one PC.

Does anyone know why this happens?

I have seen this error before and it was related to hardware, since its happeing to other PCs then look for something common. In this case the problem could be your server, eg. HD, controller, NIC etc... In my case it was the HD on novel server.

Inpage is usually the Server's HDD or check the SCSI or IDE cable of the HDD. Run Disk diagnostics on the server. faulty NIC is less possibility but check the NIC too though I doubt its NIC.
