Partially through instinct and partially through experience/repeated encounters with the person.

I figured out the typo, but I am still unsure what is the question. What do u mean to ask when u say "how do u gauge trust?" Are you asking at what stage can u trust another person or how much can u trust another person?

What kinda trust are u talking about?

                    I totally agree here.
