I don't get it either, I mean in urdu there are many words for all sorts of things, like "suhaag raat", man I don't even know if arabic has a word for it, or maybe it does, all I can say is that now I know words in urdu that I have no idea what they are in arabic

Phat, I don't think it is a MUST to go all the way the first night. Some couples don't consummate marriage for week or months.

yes I agree Funguy, they don't have to, and I know a couple of couples who took a month or so to consumm their marriage.

I know of a married couple who consumated one month BEFORE the wedding and another who have still not consumated (atleast they say so). But that basically means zilche.

If anyone ever did a scientific survey, chances are that more often than not, a married couple *WILL* consumate the wedding on the first night anyway. Why? Because they want to. How? The way man and woman have been doing it for a long time. The piece of paper you sign, called Nikahnama, quite radically changes a lot of things. Including how you behave towards each other. Doesn't mean the shyness goes off the first night. For some it carries on for months afterwards, or was never there in the first place.

See, they are no longer stranger after marriage. They become husband and wife..till death/divorce do us part. You feel shy only for the first 30 minutes after that he/she becomes your dearest friend.

why the heck you ABCD's don't think that you could have the issues with the language you started learning at the age of 30 or 20 (after puberty) try some new language and then get ready to face such comments you give about others. But anyways, to be able to speak good English is not something that one can be proud of . IT IS NOTHING . Nothing at all MR. Thap.

Do keep in mind the margin of error with this estimation. It could happen as early as just after 28 minutes or as late as 32.

I dont understand how two people, if they've had an arranged marriage, can go all the way in their 1st nite together. I think its more of a concept in hinduism. U hv to develop some sort of attachment & understanding with the other person before u DO IT!
