    Would u eat it?

Hmmm, patta nahin ke right place per post karrraho hoon
Agar gallat, then asking for maafi!

I read alot of posts about mcdonalds/burgerking etc.
But how do u guys know if the meat is halal or not? ( for people in non-muslim countries)

I know alot of peeplaanjees who know its not Halal but still eat it.
They just dont eat pork meat thats all.
Is this abit to far going with integration or is it allowed ?

search in religion section..its been debated to death.. though many people eat non-zabiha according to the ayat which says that muslims should not eat from animals sacrified to any other God than Allah and as these aninals here are not sacrificed to any God at all its ok to eat it..

Its a personal choice.. there are so many grave isues to muslims at moment.. but I have seen many halal-freaks who actually say its ok to kill non-muslims and minorities but when it comes to non-zabiha they are at muslims throats..
Saints are fine for Heaven, but they are hell on earth.

It varies between different schools of thought. Some people believe that it is ok since the animal itself is halaal and not forbidden therefore the meat is non-zabiha and not exactly haraam. Others won't eat it regardless of its being meat of a halaal animal due to the fact that it hasn't been cut the right way. Some scholars allow you to eat it even if it isn't zabiha. If you want I can get you names of the scholars or some reference since that is what my bro-in-law follows. I, however, refrain from it.

It's a goddamn piece of meat, what's so philosophical about it? Heck, I never thought about consulting religious scholars before sticking my teeth into drumsticks.

Personally, I eat any beef, chicken, etc. (except pork of course!) but honestly, the McD's or BG meat isn't healthy stuff at all for normal consumption. I try to stay away from it as much as I can.

I eat it aswell as long as I'm away from pork. The majority of Pakis do aswell but usually they don't tell and then you find an aunty sitting in Burger King with her daughter.

not that i am even close to being a good Muslim Allah hidayat de aur maghfirat karay but jhatka khanay ko mera dil naheen maanta

some very religious ppl i know who have done proper research on this tell me its allowed in islam but for me its not even as much of an issue of religion i just think its gross and has no barkat :yukh:

usually arabs i have seen dont mind eating jhatka that much and eating halal is considered a very desi exclusive thing....some of my arab friends make fun ke some pakis they know dont even pray namaz or fast or abstain from alcohol but they abstain from jhatka....hmmmm i guess its better than doing all that AND also not abstaining from jhatka...

Roman not all of us are as carefree as you, unfortunately or fortunately. It's not like people call up some maulvi, before munching on a drumstick, for a green signal. Some people feel comfortable eating everything but pork others don't...simple as that. To each his own. It's just one's level of comfort I guess. Maybe in a few more years when I am less of a fob I will eat non-zabiha meat without thinking twice like you too. Who knows!

from my line of work, I can provide this food for thought, they use the same utensils for beef/pork/lamb as there is no cross contamination because all of them are cooked up to the same temp for the same amount of time. At some places they are cooked in the same oven so by the time you dig your teeth into a beef burger its been injected with pork juices too.

So chicken would be the safest to eat as you know the knife that's carved the chicken hasnt been used to carve pork bhai jaan.

Me i dun care bismillah parh kar sab halal ho jata hay.

I have alot of respect for those who choose to eat only "halal" as in from halal meat store or halal restaurants and whatnot. I choose not to though...good or bad, its my choice.

hmmmm, interesting, cuz I thought meat could be only Halal when Zibba'd (?) the right way, so in the name of Allah (tmf).
And if not, y do all the muslims over the world buy a bakra or whatever from Muslim stores?
And most of the Mc's and Kentucky n whatever more dont buy meat which is specially for muslim. (correct me if i m wrong)

If you are going to a American restaurant... i am sure its not that hard to guess what kinda meat are they serving.... and if its somewhat confusing.. how about asking at the front desk?... I am sure they don't bite

No commercially available meat is sacrificed in the name of any diety so the primary condition for 'halaal' is there should be no remaining blood. Personally I find it a hygenic concept, religion or no religion.

There are companies who kill animals that way. I believe Tyson chickens is one of them.

It's easy to write to the companies and ask them their method of killing the animal. The animal is usually given a mild shock so as not to undergo pain (FDA regulations... forget the fact that the animal is subsequently killed ).
