    The same way you choose a good orange, or any citrus fruit, I beleive. Just make sure it's not too soft.

        And I believe the ones with the thin skin are better than the thick skinned ones...thin skinned and not too hard.

              That's great FF. SOmetimes you have to squeeze a little harder for the thick skinned ones but I am sure they are just as flavorful

                With my delicate wrists I'm not sure if I can accomplish all the necessary squeezing. Besides I find the thin-skinned ones more juicy. The thick-skinned ones take too much time and effort.

                    Yes rubbing does the trick...sort of...esp if you roll it against a hard surface. Makes the lemon softer and easier to squeeze.

                          Femme Fatale hmmmmm....thanks.....but it's just the opposite that I heard of regarding oranges.....the woman in the supermarket are always choosing the thick skinned ones....
