I know as parents we're always looking for ideas from each other so we can offer the most well balanced meals to our kids. What I try to do is offer a starch/carb + protein + veggie in each meal. Breakfast has dairy, fruit and protein + starch. Snack is usually fruit or yoghurt. Dinner is same as lunch where sabzi could be veggies in a salad. Milk and a small snack before bedtime.
My kids are very picky eaters and I've seen that small portions of a variety of choices helps them enjoy the options and they don't feel overwhelmed.
