i will tell you one of my secret aloo ki recipe

well take some oil and put the jeera and rai and green chillies after some time (woh tum decide karna kitna time) add 1 tomato which you will have to chop fine (with care, don't cut your fingers ) add turmeric powder and salt

when it becomes paste like, add small cubes of potatoes and keep stirring otherwise potatoes chipak jayege karahi mein

keep it there for 10 mins or so and then you can taste the potatoe and see if it is cooked...exact timings nahi pata mujhe...

eat it with paratha or rottis or naan

                Fish, Pakistani style

                Serves 2

                Degree of difficulty: Medium

                Preparation Time: 25 minutes

                Cooking Time: 15 minutes

                750g white fish fillets
                2 teaspoons crushed garlic
                1 teaspoon sea salt
                1 teaspoon grated ginger
                1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
                1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
                1/4 teaspoon chilli powder (optional)
                Olive oil for shallow frying
                Lemon juice
                Lemon wedges to garnish

Pat the fish down with paper towelling to remove excessive moisture.

In a bowl, combine the garlic, salt, ginger, turmeric, pepper and chilli with enough lemon juice to make a paste. Rub this mix over both sides of the fish and leave for at least 20 minutes.

In a large frying pan, heat just enough oil to cover the base of the pan and fry the fish steaks on medium, until cooked on one side, then turn and cook on the other side until done to your liking.

                Garnish with lemon wedges.

                  Serves: 4-6 persons
                  Prep Time: 20 minutes

6-8 small brinjals (cut in round thin slices)
                  2 cups yoghurt
                  Chopped green chillies for garnishing.
                  1 teaspoon zeera powder
A pinch of red chilli powder
                  Salt to taste.
                  Oil for frying
                  Whole Zeera
                  Some brown onion for garnishing.

Fry the brinjal slices till lightly browned.
Remove from oil and keep aside.

Whip yoghurt, add zeera powder, red chilli powder and salt.
                  Now add the fried brinjals.

In a small pan heat 1 table spoon oil, add zeera. Fry till it crackles.
Then pour it over the yoghurt and brinjal mix.

Sprinkle green chillies and brown onion.

                  Serve and Enjoy!!!
