Maut-ul-Alim, Maut-ul-Alam (Death of a scholar is a loss to the whole Universe)

While I was, one big loss to the Muslim world happened.

Grand Mufti of of Islam passed away in Saudi Arabia

The news was something like this"
The Grand Mufti of Islam Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah Bin Baz, died early Thursday morning in Taif, Saudi Arabia,(about 70 km southeast of Makkah), according to official sources. Born in 1910 in Riyadh, Sheikh
Bin Baz had been a judge for 15 years, then a teacher at the High Institute
of Religious Studies in Riyadh. He lost his eyesight at the age of 14.

From 1953 to 1960, he taught Fiqh and Hadith at the faculty of Shariah in
Riyadh. From 1961 to 1975, he was Vice-President of the Islamic University
of Madinah. He was then the president of this university from 1971 to 1975.

Sheikh Bin Baz was appointed President of the Islamic Researches, Ifta,
Guidance and Propagation in 1975 with the rank of minister. Later he was
appointed Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia. He was cumulatively chairman of the
    Senior Ulemas' committee.

Bin Baz was also President of the constitutional council of the Makkah-based
Muslim World League, President of the High Council of Mosques and President
of the Fiqh Academy of the Muslim World League.

Islamic institutions world-wide benefited from the support by Sheikh Bin
Baz, who also extended all sorts of supports to the needy and to the
students. The door of his house was open to all. Sheikh Bin Baz wrote
several books on Islam. He called upon Muslims to donate to the Islamic
causes. He is known for his generosity and modesty. He spent most of his
life in Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah and Taif.

Regardless of my different openion from him about some of his Fatawas, I feel that this was a great loss to the Islam:
May Allah provide him the best in the Heaven.

One more loss to the Pakistan
