    assalamoalikum

    hello people, i have a query regarding the spelling of my name. you see my name has been spelt wrong on my birth certificate and since i have grown i have noticed the angraisee don't pronounce my name properly simply cos of the way its spelt. i don't want to reveal my name for personal reasons but i wanted to know to change the spellings of my name what do i have to do does it concern the law in britain!

      my dad changed mine when i was coming to US..

      I still misspell my name

        You can get it changed by deed poll at a courthouse. Cnnsult your solicitor for advice on this,

        Note that you would will need to g t new versions of everything with your name on it. Passport, driver's licence, credit cards, banks accounts, etc....

          I knew a girl who was called Fatima Chaudhry in Bangladesh where she was born and lived as a baby..... due to a misunderstanding of the imigration form when her family moved to the UK, she's turned into Fatima Ahmed

              You can change the spelling and even the whole name if you like... by Deed Poll. I heard that someone I went to college with changed his name to Freddie Mercury upon hearing of the death of the former Queen front man.

              Why do you want to change it anyway... is it really such a big deal for you. I'm sure that the 'goray' people that you are close to all know the correct pronounciation of your name. I'm sure even after changing your name you will still get people pronouncing it incorrectly! Is it really worth all the hassle?

                Deed poll. Pay your solicitor a small amount and have it done
